Barn renovations are frequently today because it is a great idea to change an old space into a contemporary home without construction– it won’t cost so much. Besides, aged rustic architecture has its own charm. Let’s see at some living rooms in barns. Usually such rooms are with an open plan, high ceilings and lots of light. Select components that are neither harsh nor extreme. If this is going to be the prime space for guests, avoid colors that are too severe or gender specific as these could alienate some of your guests. Primary colors plus neutrals are always a safe bet. Lighter, brighter colors work best in when used sparingly.

Of course, the first thing we will need to decide on is a theme – and there are surely plenty of these to contemplate! When it comes to planning the design of our living room we can thrust to classic and traditional styles or we may opt for something that is little more contemporary. If we do determine to bring things up to date with our choice of look, then Minimalism is always a safe bet.

This is a great example of creativity, a blend of formal and casual pieces would do the purpose fairly well; get jumbo sized decorative articles, big flower vases, sculptures or even large lampshades if you want to make a style statement.
