Amit Vadehra of Tarun Vadehra Interiors disclosed, “Five years ago when we were at Maison & Objet Paris, we came through Timothy Oulton’s booth. This is exactly the kind of stuff we love…the way we would like our home to be. We loved the materials especially how the solid wood has been incorporated.”
British eponymous label Timothy Oulton well known for it is vintage imaginative furniture opens doors to its first gallery in the country in collaboration with Tarun Vadehra Interiors Private Limited. We loved how Timothy Oulton’s flair for juxtaposing the classic with the contemporary is apparent in the diverse collections showcased in the Tarun Vadehra showroom at Defence Colony, New Delhi.
Before the initiate last week, we had a quick chat with the brand’s founder Timothy Oulton, who expressed his enthusiasm in India and this association. “Our furniture is not for the faint-hearted. Tarun Vadehra has never done a cooperation in four decades; so I sense honoured. We would like to develop the business in India and Mumbai would be our next plain city to expand the brand in the country; hopefully in the coming two years,” he adds.
We ran through a lovely collection of extensive interiors garnished with vintage elements by creator Timothy Oulton and thought of share them further. Boasting elegance and creativity, each of the 20 interiors below was developed according to a certain theme. As the designer explains, some of them were inspired by the “Beat” culture of 1950s America, where writers and innovative-types championed non-standards
